Parking Space Categories

Residents

Permanent residents living in an address included in the Implementation Zones s are entitled to free parking in blue-lined locations in their area. To secure this right, they should apply (even if they already have a resident card) directly in the municipal community that they belong to:

1st Municipal Community: 36, Proxenou Koromila Avenue 546 22

3rd Municipal Community: 25, Theofilou Avenue, PC 546 33

Visitors

Visitor parking spaces in the Implementation Zones are marked with white lines and are subject to a controlled parking regime from 08:00 in the morning to 21:00 in the evening on weekdays and from 09:00 in the morning until 16:00 in the afternoon each Saturday. The maximum parking time is 4 hours per building block and the cost is € 1.70 per hour. Apart from the aforementioned hours, as well as every Sunday and every public holiday day, parking on them is free.

Loading and Unloading

The loading and unloading spaces with the yellow line serve shops and are subject the relevant regulatory decisions of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The working hours are as follows:

  • Up to 1.5T all days and hours
  • Over 1,5T Monday – Friday 20:30 – 08:30 & Saturday 17:00 to Monday 08:30

Disabled persons

THESi provides free parking space near the entrance of the house, with a special signage and the registration number of the vehicle, for each resident who belongs in one of the following three categories:

  • Disabled person
  • Parent of child with disability
  • Τrustee of a person with disability

If the disabled person, entitled to a free parking card, is already holder of such a card, he may submit the necessary supporting documents electronically or in writing to the Department of Road Control Permits of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, 20 Chalkidis Avenue 542 49, in order to get a free parking permit for disabled people, near the entrance of his home or work, which will have special signage and the license plate of his vehicle.
